About the Honda Activa 6G
The Honda Activa is India's most familiar scooter, and the 6G generation is what you will see on almost every road in Goa. Honda now sells the current version as the Activa 110. It has a 109.51 cc engine and a twist-and-go ride with no gears to change, so it is easy to pick up even if you have not ridden for a while.
It suits couples and solo travellers who want to get between beaches, markets and restaurants without waiting for taxis. It is light and narrow, so it handles village lanes, busy beach roads and tight parking without fuss.
It is delivered to your door with two helmets and a full tank. The papers are in the seat compartment. You need a valid two-wheeler licence, and both rider and pillion must wear helmets.

Tips for using it in Goa

- Roads in Goa can be sandy near beaches and slippery after rain, so brake gently on corners.
- Avoid riding after dark on unlit village roads if you do not know the route. Cattle and dogs often sit on the road.

Do I need a licence to rent a scooter in Goa?
Yes. You need a valid licence that covers two-wheelers. Visitors from outside India should carry an International Driving Permit together with their home licence.
Are helmets provided?
Yes. Two helmets come with the scooter, one for the rider and one for the pillion. Both must be worn.
Where are the vehicle papers?
In the seat compartment. Keep them there and carry your own licence with you.
Is it hard to ride if I am not used to scooters?
The Activa is automatic, so there are no gears or clutch. If you have a licence but have not ridden for a while, practise in a quiet lane before heading onto main roads.
Is it comfortable for two people?
Honda lists a 692 mm seat and a 106 kg kerb weight. It works for two on short trips around Goa. On sandy or broken roads, ride more slowly with a pillion, as it has drum brakes front and rear.
Is the seat high?
No. Honda lists a seat height of 764 mm, so most riders can put both feet down at a stop.
